How to import a Hosti machine...

As always OudinAfrika does not want to keep organisations dependant on gifts or at least we try to make this dependancy as small as possible. So for the elderly home, the home based care and other activities of Grace and Compassion (GaCC) we have discussed how to get an income i.e. a higher income for the convent. Either in money or in goods. The sisters wanted to expand the Hosti bakery. So we found an organisation willing to donate. So they wanted to enlarge and upgrade the farm activities. So we have applied with NCDO for the Farm upgrading Plan (see earlier blog notes.). Below you can read the insstructions to get the Hosti machine into Kenya......

Many greetings from me, how are you. Just to let you know of my journey to and from Nairobi. I have been to the KEBS office trying to get through to get a letter of confirmation from the standard bureau in order to obtain the baking machine, but as you understand the current situation, it wasn't easy unless there's someone to intervene, or someone you know to help out. I stayed there for quite sometime I was asked to wait and am still waiting for it to be posted to us.
Sr. Gabrielle recieved a phone call from the producer in Germany they wanted to know if she recieved the email but she did not. We are not very clear on what the producer expects of us and also when are they sending the machines to kenya. we would like to make arrangements with somebody in Nairobi to help us to receive them at the airport.
